Lessons

The Fergus Pipe Band is pleased to be able to offer lessons to those interested in learning both bagpipes and drums. In keeping with the band’s pursuit of carrying on the tradition of piping and drumming, lessons are free of charge.

The band currently has a number of bagpipe and drumming students. Members of the Pipe Band also offer private lessons to students who wish to excel further.

Lessons may take on an individual form or be performed in a group setting. It is the responsibility of the student to have a practice chanter when they begin their lessons. Chanters can be purchased at www.benbhraggiehouse.com.

Students are encouraged to immediately become part of the band, by attendance at band functions and social events. Every member of the band realizes the importance of students and therefore each makes a special effort to make every student feel comfortable and at ease.
